Public Relations Is More Than Damage Control

Good PR isn’t an afterthought, or something that’s done helter-skelter.  PR is part of a carefully-planned campaign.  Public Relations isn’t freebie advertising.  It’s much more, and effectively implemented, it can create a groundswell of interest in your company and products, and unexcelled brand boosting coverage.  It may even create a “buzz” that can take you places you never imagined!

PR also is not a replacement for other marketing campaigns. It provides support and extends the message of your other marketing and advertising.  PR adds validity to your products and services, with the implied endorsement of the publication or station carrying your story.  PR delivers your brand message, from an “independent third party,” without you having to be the one saying it.  A well-crafted PR campaign is a cornerstone for all of your other marketing efforts and brings your message in “under-the-radar” through a source your market audience trusts.  Hey, if they say your good, you’re good!
