In less than a month, and with shoestring budget, Emerson put together a 12 x 24 booth at the 2003 Shot Show for national nonprofit American Forests for The world’s largest outdoor, fishing, hunting, hiking and law enforcement show. He negotiated to have the replica Liberty Bell shipped in for attendees to ring, and brought in the family of WW I hero Sergeant Alvin York onsite for photo opportunities with attendees. The film “Sergeant York” (with Gary Cooper) played continuously for attendees in one section of the booth as well.

The booth was a tremendous draw, sounding the the bell’s great gong for the full mile of booths, and won the Show’s Top Award for the Most Patriotic Booth (in a mile-long show of million-dollar patriotic booths!) resulting in a significant amount of media coverage and new joint venture deals with top national companies.
